Welcome to Scenic Getaways

Hello, and welcome to Scenic Getaways, and our new blog.

My name is Scott. In the summer of 2003, my wife and I purchased our first (and up to this point, our only) vacation rental house in a secluded section of Ruidoso, NM.

From the first time that Emily and I took our first post-honeymoon trip together on July 4, 1997 to the mountains of Ruidoso, we both fell in love with the town, the mountains, the people, and the peacefulness of the area. We always wanted to be able to have a place in the mountains, and when this desire became a real possibility for us in 2002, we began searching for the perfect place in the mountains that we feed our souls whenever we needed to be filled. That search led us to “An Evergreen Hideaway”, that you see highlighted in our website.

Everytime I think of this place, I get a serene feeling. It is so close to nature, you hardly ever hear cars driving past, and the stars are so many and bright at night. If you get a chance to stay here, please drop us a line or leave a comment somewhere on the site.
